Michelle Mullins, CDBC, CPDT-KSA, KPA CTP is the owner and director of training at Honest To Dog in Richmond, Virginia where she offers private in-home pet training with a focus on clicker training, puppy training, fear free training of pets for veterinary and grooming procedures, and behavior modification for dogs with fear, aggression, and reactivity. Michelle built her business working closely with veterinary professionals to ensure her clients have a pet care team in their corner. Michelle is currently serving as the president of the IAABC Foundation. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and a video content contributor to the Fear Free Animal Trainer course. She is the author of the Fear Free Working With Veterinarians webinar and Elite Level Certified. Michelle is a guest lecturer at Ohio State University and is a mentor for the IAABC Principles and Practice course.
Michelle’s animal training and behavior education includes Karen Pryor Academy, Purdue University’s DOGS Course, University of Richmond’s Canine Logic and Advanced Canine Logic courses, Ken Ramirez’s Professional Animal Training Seminar, and hundreds of hours of seminars and workshops. Michelle believes continuing to seek out advanced education in her field provides her clients, both human and canine, the highest quality services available. Prior to launching her business Michelle taught classes at the Richmond SPCA, private lessons, and worked as the training and behavior education manager for Premier Pet Products and later PetSafe. Over her 10 years in the pet product industry she provided expertise and education in training and behavior for new product development, instructions, associates, and retail partners such as Amazon, PetSmart, and Chewy.com. She was also a resource for tradeshows, veterinary clinics and schools, animal shelters and community groups. Michelle was the liaison for trainers and veterinary professionals for product needs and educational resources and is honored to have worked with top professionals in our industry. Michelle loves to travel and has visited every state in the United States and 26 countries. When not traveling she enjoys time with her two dogs, Jinks and Callisto, and her husband of 27 years, Daniel.
